Description

This view of Hawa Mahal was captured in April,09. Hawa Mahal is located at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Hawa Mahal is a Rajput style of Architecture and literally means Palace of Winds.

This honeycombed building was originally built to fascilitate the women of Royal household to watch the everyday life and processions of the city. It is fifty-foot high thin shield less than a foot thickness.

It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.
