Kumiko, now I did read your motivation to close your gallery for a reason that in my opinion I agree with you 100%.
Not always judges at BP rewards images that should be but, that is the way that all contests are.
Especially in the world of Art and, Photography is not an exception, there is always a disagree, not just from the judges view but from observers, viewers, critics, audience and so on, that are looking to a paint, listening an opera, observing a sculpture or a dance or watching an image.
The really award in Art it's what we feel inside after we come out with the expressive creativity that our souls and minds have.
We are the only judges of our work Kumiko and, not body else!!

Renew your account on the 15th because I love to continue to see your work as many others wont to see your presence and your wonderful gallery.

THank you, Max! That is so true, "Art" is always subjective and tough to get recognitions. I'm leaving NOT because of I don't win here, but my point is, BP is not the only site. Also, BP is a business, taking money from all of us, so at least, they have to be "FAIR" to everybody.
I always remember my friends who loved my photos and encouraged me here at BP! I know your email address, keep in touch! #7396594

Hi Kumiko!

I just read what you wrote in your Gallery text about leaving BP! Is there anything I can do or say to make you change your mind? I for one love your gallery and your beautiful photos! If you leave BP, I'm afraid you will lose most of your followers as not everyone is willing to take the time to jump from site to site to look at other galleries. BP is like a small community to us all where we feel safe and can go from place to place visiting the homes (galleries) of all of our friends! I know that the site is only trying to make money off us all, but the people here are so nice that it seems well worth the price we are paying to stay together. Believe me, ... I've considered leaving BP several times as well. I hardly ever get any EFP's and it's discouraging but as Max pointed out, it doesn't really matter what the judges think as long as you are expressing yourself and are happy with your own work! I think you have so much talent and I'll really miss your fabulous images if you leave! I know others will feel the same way! Please think about this some more. Hopefully you'll change your mind and stay here with us! :)

You are right about "small community" and "lose most of your followers". Everybody's busy anyway....so saaaad...!
And I agree the "judges don't matter" parts, too. I don't mind not to win or not to get EFP, because I was happy and my friends here gave me cheers. I just don't like their way of business and their taste..... #7398638

I know they have their favourites and the unfairness does bother me, but I'm really only here to share my photos and friendship with the other members who have nothing to do with the business side of the website. It would be a real shame if you left BP just because of the politics! I don't think you'll find a better group of people anywhere else! :) #7399535
