Covered bridges are a favorite subject of mine -- interesting, eye-catching perspective on this one, Jim! For the record, I was born in Indiana not far north of Richmond, so I have a special place in my heart for the Hoosier State! #1104375Patricia White March 26, 2009
Just love the structure inside, looks like it is very well built and hasn't fallen over time. #7336223Michelle Alton March 27, 2009
Wow...we are rarely shown this view of covered bridges. It's phenomenal...including the perspective, vanishing point, and the great light treatment. Wow again! #7338662Jim Macino March 27, 2009
Monnie, Patricia, and Michelle, thank you all.Patricia, I drove over to the bridge because flood waters were threatening it, as they were a scant 6 inches from the bottom. The bridge was built in 1872. Michelle, as far as the lighting, I've been playing with HDR and this is a 4 exposure image combined to show the highlights, shadows, and the correct exposure for the opening on the far end. Monnie, Indiana is as beautiful as ever, especially as spring is just starting to pop. #7339006
