Piercing....

Uploaded: April 02, 2005

Description

aperture f/3.5, shutter 180, lens Canon 50mm

This photograph was taken outdoors on March 31, 2005, a little bit past the "golden hour". We were losing light fast and working hard to capture as many exposures as we could before the light totally disappeared.

I toyed with the contrast in Photoshop and used Neat Image to clean up the grain from the ISO 400 film speed.

I did not alter her eye color at all. Hard to believe...but true!

Kevin,
I feel awful for not replying to this before now. Thank you so much for the kind comment. This is an older shot of mine and for some reason for sometime now I have not been getting email to tell me if someone comments on a photo. I apologise for it taking a year to respond.
I am going to do another shoot with her in a couple of weeks. It should be fun.

Thanks again and I truly apologise for the delay in response. #2824296

I am not really into "People photos" having grown up in a family full of portait photographers ...but your images are so beautifully done! This one in particular caught my eye. I like that you accentuated her piercings, they are probably very important to her :-) She is a very pretty woman even with them ! #2828303

Carolyn Foster Spano May 29, 2006

Thank you Jill. How great to have grown up around portrait photographers. Lucky you!

To make a metal pierced face look this good is a skill. I see the model is pretty naturally, but this is great photography as well! #4509752
