Dawn at Barker Dam

Uploaded: February 03, 2009

Description

Barker Dam, Joshua Tree National Park. I was lucky on this trip to encounter great light and weather for the entire 1500-2000 mile lap around the Sierra Nevada range. I was particularly lucky here to find water - I hear that it was dry only a couple of weeks earlier.

I'm really falling in love with Winter reflection images (no wind).

Exif: F Number: 23, ExposureTime: 1/3 seconds, ISO: 400, FocalLength: 10.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 40D

Stunning view! Easy to fall in love with those kinds of views. We get a lot of wind here in Colorado during the winter, at least in the foothills of the Rockies. Not good for photography. #7122833

Every day there are so many spectacular contest entries that it gets to where you almost take beautiful captures for granted. This capture certainly has a WOW factor about it, and I would be suprised if we don't see this beautiful capture again. Stunning work Jeff!! #7123519
