Weed Berries
Uploaded: December 08, 2008
Some lovely berries that grew on an immense weed (Taller than I am!) at the back of this year’s garden. If anybody can identify them, I’d love to know more!

We call them Poke Weed here in MO. When they first come up in the spring they are really good to eat, something like spinach. #1048389Jean B. Hall December 08, 2008

Great detail on these berries Jean. I agree with Ron, I know them from my Missouri days as Polk berries. And yes Ron, my mom and I use to pick "greens" and cook them. Too funny what will trigger a memory. Rhonda #6894673Jean B. Hall December 15, 2008
