Local Snow Shower

Uploaded: February 28, 2005

Description

F/10.7; 1/125 sec. It was a little breezy at times yesterday, so I waited in a shaded spot, shutter half-depressed, for one of these showers. Got rewarded in about ten seconds.

Wow. Never thought about this before, not living in snow country. This is awesome, Gordon!!

Thanks, Kathleen! Glad you like it. These ghostly, glittering showers are pretty common when the trees are loaded with snow and a bit of wind picks up. But catching it with a camera is rare, so I feel real fortunate. Catching one down the back of your neck is not so fortunate!

Thanks, Kathryn! The snow is falling heavy right now, so I think there'll be plenty of opportunities to catch more winter "action" before spring arrives.
