Those strobes gave you some amazing light for your texture throughout the image John... wow. #992454

I really like the contrast we see between the flowers and the blue BG John! Your focus is right on, too! Wonderful lighting. Great job.

BTW, I love this nest! If I were a bird this would be my dream home! Ha! -Laura #6413135

Yes it is a beautiful nest... upper class for sure! The lighting is out of this world.

Hi Christine, Laura and Sherry,
Strobes give you wonderful control over light. Exiting light is just the light you find, strobes allow you to make the light you want. I like crating the background color, the wall in the back of my studio is gray, I shot a strobe with a blue gel at the wall to get the color and density I wanted.

As you say the nest is special. I collected one like this last year but the flower colors faded, so this year, when I found one, I started looking for a way to shoot it. I found the brush a few weeks later the nest. I like the combination.
Thanks, John

Thanks Reynaldo! I really like being able to use light to create images. The great thing here, though, is finding such a wonderful subject. Some bird is a real artist.
Thanks, John Siskin
