Land of Fire

Uploaded: August 21, 2008

Description

I recently backpacked into the Sierra high country to climb some 14,000 foot peaks and do some photography. The "Range of Light" did not disappoint. I camped at over 11,000 feet near this ancient pine. I thought that the jagged branches and orange wood resembled stylized flames. One evening there was a bright sunset which created the look of a land of fire.
