New Orleans Street Performer

Uploaded: August 15, 2008

Description

"Robot" He is done up in Silver from head to toe. His radio and the milkcrate he stands on is all metallic Silver. I shot this during the day but did alot of photoshoping in hopes of giving you all a peek into the FUTURE of Nawlins....it is on it's way back, after Hurricane Katrina. You can tell when you walk the streets and see the performers from years past, BACK doing what New Orleans is FAMOUS for...PERFORMANCE ART in The Square.

Thank You Sue,
It was ALOT of fun ! I have some more photo's of the street performers. I will get them edited and up this week. I hope you like them as well.
( Since Hurricane Katrina the amount of street performers has dwindled to a handful when before they were all over the square and through out downtown Nawlins'. ) We really miss them and hope they come back. This particular performer has been there for many years, before and now after the hurricane. I was so happy to see him and I KNOW he was happy to have made it thru.

Hey Tammy ! Thank You ! I did not know about that site...I just went and signed up though. I am GypsyAurora there...how about you ?
I have to figure out HOW in the heck to change my pics from TIFF files to JPEG's .... does anyone know ? I have lost clarity before when I did that. How do I keep the DPI and change them to JPEG ?
Thanks again Tammy for the info..I had no idea.....who knows maybe I'll get lucky...I saw that they didn't like photo's with alot of photoshopping...do you think this will be too much ?
Blessings, Jenny

What an intriguing creation, Jennifer. You could have fooled me, I thought this was a night time shot. I love the red and green lights coming from above and how they light the performer. I really love this. Well done... #6916908

This is a photo I decided to put up on the 5th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in memory of those we lost and in hopes for a better future for those who stayed and are making New Orleans what it once was.
Blessings and Strength to you all, Jenny In Bama #8863775
