Description

The blue cast is natural. The colors are as seen on December 20, 2004, at 2:12 pm.

What looks like clouds is really fog that came from the seaway, to the right, where the temperature difference between the air (-22°C) and the water (0-1°C), not turned into ice yet, is so great that the water evaporates. The wind brought that evaporation over the town. It looked a bit like smoke from a fire, because it was dark and moved quickly.

I got frostbite on one cheek during this short photo session.
