This is by far the best in your subway series. By the way photography on the subway system is prohibited so keep an eye out for the police or you might get fined. As a former NYer I took many a shot on the subway without incident. Keep up the good work! #6067600Steve Mason June 17, 2008
Thanks, everyone for the complements! I appreciate them. This one's prob. my favorite so far too.Robert - Prior to my latest subway binge, I looked into the legality and turns out that photography is allowed without a permit as long as you don't use a tripod or additional lighting. Here's the link for the subway rules - http://www.mta.info/nyct/rules/rules.htm . Look under section Section 1050.9. Just in case, I keep a copy of those rules with me when I shoot.
A couple years back they thought about banning it, but a lack of support from Mayor Bloomberg and sizeable protests by photojournalists killed the measure.
Long answer, I know, but figured other people might be interested in knowing:) Happy shooting! #6070377

Steve thanks for the info but I don't get to NYC very often these days. When you live in Florida your friends and relatives tend to come to you. And I don't expect to be on the Subway ever again but one never knows do one. #6071608Joseph N. DiGilio August 30, 2008
This is a beauty Steve. Very well done. The subway is not an easy place to get good pictures, especially in color. I especially like this POV. Nice work. #6387985Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
