Florida Gator

Uploaded: May 31, 2008

Description

This gator was feeding on something in the local pond in Inverness, Florida. Taken May 31, 2008 at 7:19am on a clear, hot and humid morning. The 10 foot gator had just found breakfast. Photo was taken at a good distance, so not as crisp as I would have liked it to be. Love the sunshine glowing in his mouth as he ate. Aperture f5.6 ISO 400. Canon 70-300 lens used. Cropped and sharpened the photo using PS7.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/400 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 300.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 20D

I really like this shot. Looks as though the gator has a light in his mouth. #932630

Great shot Jean. That critter is enjoying the taste of some poor prey. Bill #6002742
