Description

Zion is a new feline leukemia positive cat at Best Friends Animal Sancutary. He came to Best Friends after being rescued from a terrible hoarding situation in Pahrump, Nevada. I love him because he's comforting my favorite cat at Best Friends, Judah, as he prepares to leave this world.

Thank you, everyone. Although Zion is extremely feral he'll risk being around humans just to be with Judah. He's a very special being. He really is the color in this photo & it took me awhile to capture just the right shade. Judah will cross any day now & it will be a great loss. Someone flew all the way from Virginia just to adopt him without knowing he was ill & now they've extended their stay to see him through. In Buddhism Bodhisattva's are beings that’ve attained enlightenment but out of love & compassion remain on earth to help others. They can appear as humans, animals, birds - any form of life. I've met a few in my lifetime & Judah certainly is one. He's a being of total love & tenderness & is loved by everyone who knows him. The world will be a lonelier place without him:
