Self Portrait (3rd in set)

Critique? I would really appreciate comments on all 3 of these, they are in my gallery. I wanted to stress that this is just a bench at my University, not a studio shot... because it kindof looks like it.

This is very nice, you should tie your shoes (a mom's nagging), was wondering if you cropped a little off the bench so you aren't in the center? I like the emotions you have portrayed here. #180397Andrew Colby October 20, 2004
Thank you :-) I'll try to keep them tied from now on, hehe. No, all 3 are completely untouched. I was off center on purpose, thought it might give it more of an "edge" #859296Colleen Braun October 20, 2004
actually I was thinking you could be a little more off center, and the untied shoes goes well with the image...LOL #859577Andrew Colby October 20, 2004
I was thinking of redoing this pose on the side of the bench like the headphones shot. Probably on the opposite side though, to kindof make a set of 3 that would look good sequentially. I guess I'd have to wear the same clothes tho ;-) #859722Laura Raney November 07, 2004
It's funny...when you love to take photos, you can see something and think to yourself, I want a picture taken there. The thought never leaves your mind until its done.Andrew Colby November 07, 2004
Thanks again Laura, I know exactly what you mean. The picture I entered today was inspired by light through my blinds that kept getting in my eyes... so I was like... hrrmmm, that might make a cool picture =). I put it off for a little while but it just kept nagging me to get it done, so I did (even tho it hurt to keep my eyes open) =)... ahh the sacrifices we make, hehe j/k. Thanks again for the comments. #896268Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
