They look a lot like radishes. I love beets, but never buy them for some reason. Probably because my kids wouldn't eat them! :-) Beautiful colors and great comp and DOF! #842961

Janet, your kids might eat these--they are a heritage type (that means the variety has been around for 100 or so years) and are very sweet. Also the striping is kind of cool. In my work I've found that children who normally don't eat many veggies will often eat ones that they have grown--all the more reason to have a garden and get your kids involved in it. There's lots of good books on fun gardening projects to do with kids. #843043
