A Mother's Prayer

Description

Recently, I was given the honor of photographing Miss Lydia, a special baby girl of a long time client of mine. I got the call from her mom simply asking me to spread the word about her need for prayer and to ask my family to pray. Her mom, Liz, is an incredibly person. They have two older boys who are both adopted and truly adorable. I have had the priviledge of photographing them since they were newborns as well. They adore their baby sister. Liz let me know that specifically she wants to encourage little children to pray. I know it is an important thing for children to learn to do and with four myself, I let her know we would pray with our little ones. I am asking all of my clients and friends and family to join me in praying with our children for little Lydia.

As of about November 26th, Lydia has been diagnosed with infant Leukemia. Specifically ALL-MLL. On January 16th, she got the great news that an excellent match has been found for bone marrow transplant and dec

Beautiful photo. I will keep this child along with other many sick children in my prayers. No child should have to go through this. Thank you for sharing this photo. It's very touching. #5420747

How very sweet and moving...the image and your words. Lydia and her family shall be my family's prayers. I have three children and THANK GOD for them every single day. It is amazing how much children absorb....everything and anything. While they are young, why not teach them all the good that we can---like praying---especially for others. When they grow up, it will simply be WHO they are. Tina, thanks for sharing your story, and for encouraging us photographers to join in prayer :-) #5420766
