Description

My youngest, Elijah. Taken after my eldest son's "Watermelon Run" cross country meet. 20mm, f/5.6, 1/500 sec, iso 100. Light source to the right is late day sunshine. Replaced the parking lot behind him with a grassy area from another shot in PSE2.

Thank you so much for your comments!! Christopher, the light source to the right is the sun later in the day (I think around 5:00pm). I replaced the parking lot that was behind him with some of the grassy area from another shot. #816199

You did a great job with the close-up, the light (which wasn't that easy to expose for, I think) and the replacement of the background. This is a sweet and lovely shot!

If I may add a simple suggestion, I would try and blur the grass before adding it to the photo (not after, as you might get a funny halo on your son). It appears a bit too sharp considering that even a small aperture would probably not get something as close as your son's face and something else in the bg both in such good focus. This would also help the bg not overpower the shot. #839179
