Description

Taken while riding on the Durango Silverton Narrow Guage RR, Durango Colorado in Aug of 2004. Mid morning on a very overcast day. Shutter speed was at least 1/1000 probably more than that. I don't remember exactly.

Been on this train & you do get great views when it turns like this!!! It's some of our beautiful views in Colorado!! You've captured it nicely! Hope you enjoyed the ride!!! #794170

Thanks to all. This was difficult because the train was so wobbly and the first shots I took were totally out of focus because of movement. I kicked the iso up to about 1400 and was shooting at about 1/1000 of a sec to try to stop motion. I seemed to work and you are right--The scenery is AWESOME. It was totally overcast and threatened rain all day so I didn't have to worry about shadows or split lighting. It was just wonderful shooting. I probably shot 600 exposures. Each one nicer than the next. I want to do it again!!!! Thanks for the nice comments. #794188
