Eclipse's motion

Uploaded: December 17, 2007

Description

D2x + 70-200 mm f2.8 + TC 20IIE at 310mm, 1/250 s, f5.6, ISO 400. Lunar eclipse that occured on the 28 Aug 07 as seen from Fredericton, NB. 14 frames taken from the same field of view every 7 minutes from 05h07 until 06h31 that morning. I applied a gradiant mapping to ensure realism and accuracy of the lighting conditions by sampling the blue at the horizon of the last frame. Everything evolves: the eclipse, the color of the moon as well as the increasing illumination as the sun is about to rise.
