~My Beautiful Butterfly~
Uploaded: August 28, 2004
This is my oldest daughter who was getting jealous over her little sisters fairy photos so I had to come up with something as unique but fitting for a preteen. Early evening light in the shade of trees, wings added with ps.Thanks for letting me share!

Hi Teri,Can you explain (or provide a link) the the process used to make the wings? I think my own daughter would love it if I did something like that.
Thanks, and great shot! She's a beautiful young lady, and I think she'll treasure that photo for years. #162862

Hi Lisa, thanks for the nice comments about my daughter, she`s 11, how old is your daughter? The process is very simple to add the wings. First I did a search on google for fairy wings.I saved the ones I liked into a folder called "wings" that I created. In ps I opened my daughters image and the wings image. With the magnetic lasso tool I outlined the wings to select them. Then I hit copy then paste. I used the move tool to move the wings onto my daughter.I then went under edit and selected free transform....this puts a square around the wings so you can resize them, flip them et. I flipped the wings around and resized them then double clicked on them when I was happy with them. Then used the blur too to soften the edges. I forgot to mention you might need to use the eraser too aLeanne, thanks for you kind words. I appreciate that so much!
Blessings
to you both
