Templo Santo
Uploaded: October 14, 2007
A site for worship in the Jemez Pueblo of New Mexico. I like to post process quite a bit to create dreamy effects and accentuate certain aspects, as I did in Photoshop to this photo. I also use saturation and contrast to make the image pop.

Yesterday (Sat, Oct 14, 07) our NM Photo Club met for a field trip for the first time. WHat a fantastic group of people. We daytripped to Jemez Springs and we all took pictures here at one of the many churches. Please, as always, I'd love suggestions. Thankx in advance.Oh and Karen, I tried to imitate your awesome sky in Texas Heat. I know mine doesn't quite make it, but what do you think I could do to improve it? #761490

Here's the sepia version. Which do you like better? Any other suggestions for improvement? #4924315Karen Slagle October 14, 2007
I found it, not in your gallery. I LOVE the color version, Aggie. And the sky is fantastic. The clouds add the right touch. Love the dreamy feel and saturated colors. Wish I had been there also, love the SW architecture. #4924430Kimber Wallwork-Heineman October 18, 2007

I came to your gallery because of a comment you made on someone else's photo and I'm so glad I did--I love your images and this is one of my favorites on your first page though I really like so many of them. The colors here are just wonderful--love the more subdued siennas and golds with just the touch of jewel tones in the windows. I see that you often speak of adding a "dreamy" effect in post-processing. Not sure exactly what you mean but I do like the slight softening you have used here and on many of your architectural shots--it seems just right for the rounded edges and chunky bulk of adobe. BTW, I was raised in New Mexico--visiting your gallery was like coming home. #5120481Tamera S. Phillips November 25, 2007

Aggie, this is beautiful. I love the architecture, the colors, the sky, everything! Sorry I missed out on the field trip. We had a camera club from D/FW visit our area and we played tour guide. It was fun, but sure would have liked to have been with you all. Next time for sure! #5654459Kimber Wallwork-Heineman March 20, 2008
