Hello everyone! I need some advice...please: I have been unhappy with my conversions the last few days (and many of you know- I love black & white). I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Normally I am pretty happy with my conversations. What should I change? #713788

Angela, I’m no expert in Black and white conversion and I can’t think of the difference when I look at this sweetie. Perhaps this is the best of your baby portrait. I’m sure that you’ll get plenty of advices today to solve your dilemma.

I really like this, Angela-- I am a fan of black and white, too. I think it is very nice as is--- perhaps you could play with the red/blue values until you see a result you enjoy- or even the bump up the contrast to see if it makes a difference. Honestly-- this is very sweet :) #4644522

I am no expert on B/W Angela, so I wouldn't like to try and say what you can do, if anything is possible. To me, there is nothing wrong with this image as with many more portrait images in your gallery. I think this is an excellent image. Bill J. #4644555

CUTENESS OVERLOAD for sure! :)

as for the b/w conversion...the only problem I see is that it's just a touch 'flat'. I realize that's a harsh sounding word...but it's really not that bad. If you use Photoshop...try playing with the curves adjustment. Start with a nice 'S' curve and then play around with it to get what you are looking for. From what I can see, a bit more contrast (darker shadows and lighter highlights) would really bring this to life!
