Here is the process I followed.
Using PS-CS, I first selected only the red part and posterized it about level 9. Second, I selected only the yellow petals, adjusted the shadows, highlights,the sharpness of edges, and the overall sharpness. Third, in Filter Gallery I accented the edges. Finally, I cropped the entire image and moved it around in 90 degree increments until I found the position I liked best.
