Description

Female Ruby Throat Hummingbird found that our windows were too clean... she was dazed but alright. She allowed assistance to get back on her feet. What a wonderful creature, they are.

Thanks everyone! It's all about being in the right place at the right time. The universe is good to me sometimes and this was one of those times. The best thing is that she flew off moments after this shot. And Gary, I agree about their flying abilities...simply a marvel.
Good Light to all.

Great shot, Scott. It's a shame she hit the window, but what a wonderful experience for you. Not many people can say they had a hummer sitting on the end of their finger. I'm glad she flew off unhurt. #554873

Scott, You're a true photographer who's ready any moment with your camera! I actually had the same experience but never even thought about snapping the moment:(. I was too buzy concerning if the little hummer would fly again, which she did. I had some colorful decorative figures on my clear glass door and no birds ever tried to get in my house again. Great shot, Scott!
