WOW!!! What fabulous detail, color and clarity, Dot--way to go! I'd love to get a shot like this. I don't know about you, but here in Northern CA, it seems we have a lot more rufous hummers than we usually do. #642087

Very nice shot, Dot! CC: Make sure that the bottom of the hummer isn't cut off, and run it through a noise-reduction program like Helicon Filter to de-noise the dark-green background. #4195602

Thanks everyone, and thanks Ariel for the tips. I'm not sure why but the background looks black on my computer, and on the print out of this shot, yet I know the trees in the background were deffinatly dark green. thanks again for the advice, it is appreciated! #4198116
