This is a really wonderful image Pat - the tree-trunks amongst the bluebells are compositionally just great! Well done! #511670

Thank you so much, Carolyn. This was shot for a Nature Landscape Photography class I'm taking at the Arboretum. The instructor took us to this area and it was up to us to get some shots. Some of the other students took this shot as a vertical with only the closer tree trunk in the shot. I took that composition, too, but actually thought this shot was the stronger image. The instructor liked this shot when he critiqued our images the other night. #511774

Hi again Pat! I haven't seen your vertical shot of course, but I think that this horizontal shot has great strength - and your instructor obviously thought so too!! I love the way you can see just a little of the other tree trunks in the background...as well as the main one on the right-hand side of course!!

Have you already posted, or are you going to post, some more of your photography class shots from that day?! If so we will look forward to seeing them! Was this shot taken close-by to where you live Pat? #511833

I'll post the vertical image later, when I get home from my office. And, when I have more time, I will be posting other images from the Arboretum - both class shots and shots I take just because I'm there. I'm a member of the Arboretum, which is about 15-20 minutes from my house. It is 1700 acres of gorgeous trees, plants, rivers and lakes. I am going to put all my Arboretum shots into a separate gallery on my website. Feel free to e-mail me at any time. #511889
