Moonrise Findhorn

Uploaded: April 17, 2007

Description

Location: Findhorn Bay, Moray, Scotland.

Pentax 67II, 200mm lens, 0.45ND grad filter, F8 at 1/15 sec, Velvia.

Sailing dinghies moored in the natural harbour formed at the mouth of the Findhorn estuary remain safe from even the most inclement weather. On this particular evening the air was unbelievably still, the water as smooth as a mirror. The sky in front of the setting sun turned pink while the full moon rises slowly into it.
