Slumbering Duckling

Uploaded: August 07, 2002

Description

After unsuccessfully shooting chicks at an ag fair last Fall, I asked my neighbor friend if she had some on her farm. She said she did not. (sigh) BUT...would ducklings be ok? (grin)

Delores, You cease to amaze me!.. I have never seen a picture of yours that wasn't absolutly beautiful and perfectly sharp.. This perfect! Please tell me what camera and lenses you use. Are they nikkor lenses? #11453

Piper Lehman August 13, 2002

Um...I think Donna meant "never cease to amaze me..." Funny! :) Great close-up, again Dolores. #11454

Hi Donna....Yes, I knew I would cease to amaze you someday!! I guess today is the day!! Just kidding...I knew what you meant!

Well, here you are feeding me chicken soup again...you and Piper!! Donna, I use a Canon G1 digital camera that's currently with Dr. Canon (sent back to factory for repair)!! Actually, my lens was naked...no filter or polarizer for this shot....just the measely(sp?) little 3x proprietary zoom on the camera. What I'd give for an SLR based digital camera with REAL LENSES and more functions...like more focusing features! I have my heart on the D60 but we just bought a new SUV and sporting equip....so it'll be awhile. To make matter worse, we are going on vacation on Friday!! It'll be half a vacation now with no camera!!

Thanks again, Piper dearest!! I know I'll see some winners from you too at the end of the month! And you too, Donna!! #11468

Carolyn, Adam and Piper! Thank you! So much!! How kind you all are! Adam....I can understand you would want this little guy...I wanted him for myself!! But I knew I had to promptly return him to his parents at the farm. I bonded with him during the shoot and when visiting him at the farm a few months later....I couldn't tell which duck he was. Definitely not as cute as he was!! Thanks so much everybody for extending another kindness. It really means alot to me!! #14116
