Island Retreat

Uploaded: April 11, 2007

Description

Pentax 67II, 200mm lens polarizer and 0.6ND grad, F22 at 1/2 sec, Velvia. Location: Loch Awe, Assynt, Sutherland, Scotland. This is the same little loch, Loch Awe that featured in my earlier shot with the wee blue boat. This time I was nearer the road and was just able to see the triangular peak of one of the mountains jutting above the hill framed by a puff of white cumulus cloud. As ever the most important ingredient was light and patches of it skated across the loch briefly illuminating this tiny island retreat.
