Woo Hoo!! And congratulations on YOUR finalist :) Actually, I can't understand why every single one of your landscape photos doesn't have a yellow winner's medallion underneath it, but I'm glad at least for February, this one has its deserving award. I hope it ends up with the winner's medalleon in a couple of days :)

Thank You all for your kind comments, and an extra thank you to the judges for noticing this in such a large and strong field of phoos.

The shot itself is a 6 second exposure, helped by using an ND filter, which is how the swirling leaves themselves were captured.

In answer to the question about processing, this was converted from RAW and tone mapped to increase dynamic range and shadow detail (from a single exposure) in PhotoMatrix; then in photoshop I applied an action for fievel's gothic glow, selective version, which performs the vignetting. (It's actually applied to a separate layer and faded in to taste.)
