Shawn, I love this color rose (my husband has bought me this color twice) and I like the BG! I do notice a couple spots on the far left that are a little hot, so you might watch that (I have hung a white sheet over my window when shooting these). However, I am not great with flower shots and I don't have a macro lens so I don't do a lot of macro shots so I am probably not the best one to critique! Hope someone who photographs flowers can be of better help! :) #3769874

I hope the sheet will work for you Shawn...like I said, I am not good with flowers and have not done a lot of indoor photography either. I will be watching for your new shots when you try. Maybe that is a good excuse to have hubby buy you some more flowers too! :D #3782052

Your certainly doing well with your flowers ... lol. Perhaps you need to buy into the local florist shop. This is a beautiful rose and a credit to you and hubby! As far as lighting is concerned - one can change the position of the flower in relation to the light source, try for a smaller aperture setting or a faster shutter speed... #3845465

Phil,
Thank you! I will try a smaller apt. and moving the flower. I will keep trying untill I get it right. Thank you for your help again!! #3847751
