Jesus Loves the Little Children
Uploaded: December 18, 2006
This picture was taken by my mom at a Uganda refugee camp, while she was there on a medical/mission trip. I painted the photo using Painter 9. She used this as her Christmas card to celebrate that the Savior sent His Son to be the Savior for the WHOLE world! MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!!!

Thank you so much, Mary and April!! Mary, my Mom and Dad go as Missionaries and they go with a Medical team. They come back with such amazing stories about how the rest of world lives. We are so blessed in this country!!! #4160212Joerg Schlagheck April 19, 2007
Hi Alana, again I came to visit you gallery. It is very impressive and your effort really shows in a very positive way. I discover something special each time. This is an amazing photo and food for thought. These are nice looking kids. Hope they're allright! #4186989Alana Ibe April 19, 2007
Thank you, Joerg. These kids are happy, but many orphaned and very poor. It is very dangerous for them outside of this refugee camp. They will be sold into slavery if radical extremists get to them. Also, many are aids orphans. We have SO much to be thankful for in this country!!! #4187009Joerg Schlagheck April 19, 2007
That's so true! It's not so much the poverty, even though it must be very severe, but just the lack of opportunity. What can they do, if they're basically stuck in a refugee camp?! I admire your parents for their work. Hopefully they can make a difference in the future of those kids. #4187113Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
