The Storm Wall

Uploaded: December 05, 2006

Description

A violent St. Mary Lake, in Glacier National Park, as a winter storm blasts in furiously from the West. Shooting into the teeth of 40+MPH winds and struggling to control spray from the 5-foot waves I rendered this dramatic and evocative image which communicates my stuggle with the elements and the essence of a powerful impending storm.

17-40L at 40mm. 3-stop ND Grad filter + polarizer. 1 second at F18.

Fawn, you cannot not use Photoshop (or similar editing programs). This is a digital image and a conversion to B&W could only be done in post processing. #3671567
