This desaturated, burnt image actually makes me a bit uneasy. Great job! The square cropping really works and the sense given from the silhouetted form of the stems and hairs, created by backlighting, enhances the mystery. The few distractions that are there don't take anything from the quality thanks to the strong since of form. I like the contrast between the paper-thin and frail build of the petals and the soft hairs of the stems, verses the duotoned harshness and cold feeling of the background. The only thing that throws my eye is the light, blueish outline of the leaves near the lower third of the image. Well done. #548528
