Taken during a recent trip to Donegal ,Ireland. Canon Lens 24-105mmF4LIS.Shutter speed 1.125sec, aperture F8, ISO 400 @45mm.Chalk & charcoal filter used in PS. Also a touch of buzz filter.I thought monochrome would best evoke the sadness of this abandoned homestead!

Super job, Helen ... this is one of those places that dates back sever hundred years, isn't it? .... I have cousins that live in the UK .. and they occasionally send me photos of castles and the like that have been around for centuries ...Steve #3677071

Thank you Steve for your welcome comment! Yes this ruin would date back to the time of the Famine in Ireland 1844-1849! We have our fair share of old buildings & castles here in the UK! #3677748Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
