Paul: This lens is one of my favorites. Check your camera if you are having trouble and you are sure it is not the lens itself. Keep your shutter speed up becasue this lens is heavy. When photographing wildlife, I often set it on f8.0 and an ISO higher enough to to allow for a fast shutter (above 1/500th). I hope this helps!
