Taken at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens inside the Conservatory. This is the Stained glass dome ceiling inside the conservatory. It's 103 years old.
The ceiling is 25ft high from the base of the dome & nearly 50 ft wide.
There are 16 panels in the ceiling & over 2 million pieces of glass that make up the design. It took 25 glass craftsman 2 years to complete. There are 4 panels that represent the 4 gospels, one with an Eagle, one with a Lion, one with a Bull & one with an Angel. After the ceiling was constructed they welded it together as one piece & it took over 100 men to lift it into place with ropes & pullies.

I am in awe of this image Michelle - I never take images inside buildings (or churches etc) because the last time I took some images of a vaulted ceiling at a local shopping mall the security guys told me off and I am too scared to venture inside again.
Glad you shared this amazing image with us.

Thank you so much Donna! I appreciate all your comments!
I've done a couple inside places. I've gotten ones in the State Capitol in CA & a couple of churches & malls. I wouldn't let one rotten person ruin your shooting inside. Most of the time people don't care. Those guys were probably just having a bad day & I wouldn't worry about it. LOL If you went back now I'm sure there would be different guards who didn't care. ;)
Have fun & keep shooting! Who cares what other people think!
Have a great day!
