This is very beautiful, Ron! Before enlargement the fish really looks like a butterfly! Wonderful colors! #87722

Thank you Evy, Colette, Carolyn, and Cathy! Another very poorly lit subject. I guess they weren't thinking about photographers when they built these displays! #330978

You did a nice job of capturing those bright colors so clearly, Ron, and your title really made me look closely to see those tiny fish lips, a very cool detail that I would have missed!! #331050

I love the colors. Any tips on shooting through glass to help keep down the fuzziness? #342691

Thank you LaVella. Well, the most important thing would be the lighting. Any glare from backlighting would cause a problem. Clean glass really helps also, but most of the time, you can't clean it before the opportunity is gone! Also, try to shoot completely perpendicular to the window. Angles cause glare. Hope this helps!
That's a spectacular white tail by the way! Lucky you to have that in your yard! What part of the country are you in? #342789

Hi Ron,
I am in San Antonio, TX. This really helped! Just took a shot from the same window of pregnant does, but this time with all lights off in the house and shooting perpendicular. Can't wait to download from my camera to check them out, but they looked much better on the small viewing screen.

If I can catch the 16 point buck that has been hanging around, I will post his mug shot. LOL #342822

Great! Let me know if they turn out better for you this time. I really hate shooting through glass, but sometimes you just don't have a choice! I would love to see that 16 point buck! #342858
