Bud with backlit petal

Uploaded: August 23, 2006 19:59:48

Description

Early morning, tripod, 28-300mm lens at 300mm, +3 diopter. This bud was nestled behind the right-hand petal (from the portrait image). From this perspective the sun was backlighting the petal, and just a little bit of direct sun was peeking around the flower's edge to highlight the edges of the bud.
