Janine, this is really super shot with the detail, colors and the blur motion of wings just perfect. I know the speed of 1/500sec will catch the slight blur motion of the wings but not easy to get that speed to shoot with telephoto len. #3163984

David, thanks very much for your kind words of encouragement; I rarely use the Tamron 2x TC because of the loss of image quality - a lot of light is needed with the 2x TC. I almost always use the Tamron 1.4x TC and it is great; the camera continues to auto focus quickly and there doesn't seem to be any loss of image quality. I don't have any experience with the Canon 1.4x TC. #3288276
