I Like this shot also. I live near a lake and go to a different place on the shoreline twice a week or so to see what I can see. As new to photography I would tell you two things. #1 See what is around you and shoot it. The more film you shoot the better your odds of getting great images. #8114

Thanks for the advice Gene. I understand what you mean...about bettering my odds.. I received a dozen roses from a very dear friend and I couldn't help but to take picures. I spent a roll and a half on the one vase of roses...using macro on the up close shots...but was, unfortunately, too close.. :( I probably got about 6 or seven good shots...3 or 4 worthy of entering in the contest on this site. You can find one of my pics in the Roses category... "Fresh breath and roses".... Again, thanks for the advice. Take care and good night. #8129
