Thank you Tamara. This is my first attempt at a "posed" shot. The others are much easier!! #2820068

Oh I am so pleased you put this one up Bea, your first attempt as a posed shot, I think folk thought your other shots were posed so glad you put this one here!! ~Pat #2820859

Thanks Pat, Posing them is much harder than taking them when they're just being themselves. #2820981

Pat and Graham . Robards May 27, 2006

Hi there Bea, posed shots are very difficult to get if you want your dog to look bright eyed and bushy tailed hey!

I wasn't impressed with the new camera for studio work, that's why Graham had to get new lens as the dogs were getting bored.

Yes, I do like this shot and it would be one of my favourites too. Even though it may be posed as in a down stay, Nero and Honey are still bright eyed and bushy tailed.

This is the very essence of dog portraiture, to capture that look which you have done so.... and so very well! ~Pat

What a beautiful image and dog portrait. They look SO alert. #2821993

Thank you all very much.
For Joyce, I got them to lay down (I was armed with treats),two other dogs there as well, but out of shot. But they had that silly look on their faces. I took a few, but knew their expression wasn't quite "right", then when something caught their eye and that was what I was looking for, so I took some in continuous. It wasn't interesting enough that they wanted to get up, just look. #2822706
