April Showers bring...

Uploaded: April 20, 2006

Description

ISO 400, f11, 30 sec exposure, 28-135mm IS, 1:16 a.m. 4/16/05, taken in eastern IA. This is one of the many lightning images taken easter weekend. Lightning has been a new subject matter for me as it can be tricky to try and predict its location every shot. Adjusting settings for intensity and distance to obtain the correct exposure is another challenge. The awesome effects of nature can be very dramtic if you have patience.

Thanks Cassie and Leif. It takes alot of patience sometimes and just as much luck to be shooting in the right direction. Im out every storm shooting and now I can kind of predict where to aim. Ive missed so many good ones Im finally capturing lightning similar what ive seen while point the camera in the other direction. I just purchased a 20D so Ill have 2 DSLR's going at once next storm, covering more of the sky and miss less hopefully.
Thanks again,
