snow is certainly majestic especially in this scene--nice leading lines which takes the viewer into the scene---although it is too bad that there was not a contrasting color in the background to hold the viewers eye in the scene---however, it is still a nice photo. #400574

Superb image Goshka, and I like your composition. #2479876

Carla Metzler February 28, 2006

Contrasting subjects are nice, but not always needed in my opinion. I personally like the stillness of this image, and the composition. I find it quite beautiful, Goshka. I guess that is why there are so many different kinds of art, we all have different likes and dislikes. #2479893

Looks like you almost got there first Goshka! What a wonderful scene! I don't know if there are many paths that look just like this in Central Park but I have seen this scene quite often on BP. This is my favourite version without all the red banners or whatever they were. Oh I liked them too but this one is the best! #2480637

Goshka G. March 07, 2006

Thank you all so much for all these comments!! I truly appreciate all the feedback!! I really wish, Gerald, that there was some point in there to focus interest - but there wasn't, and the place was fenced off anyway, so I had to make do with what I had.

I haven't seen The Chronicles of Narnia yet - but your comments will probably make me, you guys!;-) #2508442

Gerald Kraus March 08, 2006

Your photo is wonderful and I know that we cannot control a beautiful scene. I only give honest opinions and provide suggestions where I think it will help or make the picture stronger. You received great comments but even though Anita H. beat me up a little---I still will stick to my guns---I challenge the folks that commented on your photograph to critique some of the pictures in my gallery---I welcome all the help and suggestions--that is the only way to learn. And with that Keep Shooting. #2512098
