Silk Creek Reflections

Uploaded: February 02, 2006

Description

This section of Skaneatles Creek is located between Jordan and Elbridge along Velley Drive in Upstate NY. The road is closed to through traffic because half the road fell down the cliff into the creek. The creek is open for fishing. If you drive up from the bottom (Jordan) or down from the top (Elbridge) to where the barriers are and walk into the closed area, you can walk down to the creek. It is lovely there in all seasons. Happy Saturday! (PS, no flood filter need apply!)

This is an enchanting place Mary. I can see why you have spent so much time there. It is great for the eye to follow the curve of the river and long to see around the corner.
The only slight thing is the light coloured logs on the left hand bank. They seem to be taking me away from where I want to go. Such a small thing but it is bothering me! #386001

Thank you Kate and Goshka for your kind comments and critique. I can probably burn the logs a little darker when I have a chance to work on this again Kate--see if we like it better. Mary :-) #2376696
