Thanks Dottie, Sherri, Evy, Lyn, Dolores, Leanne and Barb! This was the most beautiful dragonfly I've ever seen and the first Green Darner. He was clinging to a weed close to the ground and I almost missed him. I appreciate your very kind remarks!! #173925

Great shot. If you don't win I will be shocked. That has to be the best picture I have ever seen on this web page. Great job. How did you do it? #174668

Terry Cervi level-deluxe August 22, 2003

Thanks Bob and Michelle! I appreciate your complimentary comments! Michelle, I used my Canon EF 100mm macro lens plus +3 close-up lens attached. Most importantly, this beautiful dragonfly was very cooperative. He patiently sat there while I moved in as close as I was able. #174894

Super job Terry. Wondering if this was really a verticle orientation. I have NEVER seen a common green darner rest in a verticle position on a grass stem. If he was cold he would be overnighting in a verticle position. #201157
