Here's how I do all my B&W conversions, and what the original looked like.

It's important to get all your regular PP done before hand, what I do first after my regular stuff is desaturate the image:

1. I open up the selective color box and pick the Black color first. Slide the Black% slider to the right to bring out rich black tones usually +5 to+7.

2. Now go change the color box to White and slide the black% slider to the left anywhere from -22 to -60 watch your blown highlites.

3. Now go change the color box to Neutrals and slide the black% either left or right anywhere from -5 to +5 depending on the image.

That's it, to finish it off you can go adjust the contrast abit more to give it a litttle more "pop"

I this shot I actually moved my whites all the way to -90 for a high key look. #368914
