Description

We a new fledging of Mockingbirds, and they are a real treat to watch and photograph. They took a break and sat and enjoyed each other's company on a limb outside my window, so I captured this yesterday. Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 100-400 mm L lens, f9, 1/800, ISO 1250, at 320 mm, handheld, shooting through a window.

Very nice results through the window Shirley! You know our parents always told us to make sure we were wearing clean underwear, but I think one of the rules in the Photographer's Guide is to always make sure all your windows are clean for opportunities like this. :-) Very nice close-up and details (and clean window) ;-) #11765420

Too funny, Mike! Thank you for viewing and commenting. Actually, the windows don't have to be sparkling clean, because your camera is focusing so far past the glass, that it doesn't seem to bother it if it isn't perfectly clean. I'm sure there is a limit. This window probably gets cleaned more than all of the rest in the house, just to make sure I can get my shots without a problem. <>< #11765431
