Description

Located over the Brazos River near Brazos Point Texas

A bridge built in 1915, in the days of the horse and buggy, served the residents of Johnson and Bosque Counties well into the age of the automobile. In the latter half of the 20th century the cars got so big that it was dangerous to try and pass when meeting another car, so the bridge became more or less a one-lane bridge. Whoever got there first got to cross and the other person waited. Luckily there wasn’t a lot of traffic on the road.
